This is Mitusbishi's latest Concept Sportback show car, which will receive its public debut at this year's Frankfurt motor show in September.
The Sportback previews the look of the new Lancer, which will appear as a five-door hatchback to rival the Ford Focus in 2007, and brings with it a new platform which Mitsubishi claims will be flexible enough to build a range of new models upon.
Next to come will be a replacement for the four-wheel-drive Outlander, which will be unveiled at the Tokyo motor show in October alongside the first appearance of a concept version of the Lancer Evolution saloon's tenth incarnation.
